It is the collages you posted on forum.alexanderpalace.org that lead me here. Those collages are adorable, and so is this website. I'd rather express my appreciation and give you my best wishes. :-)

Thank You for your wunderful website! Thank you for interest for our history. Thank you that to interested our history there, abroad.

But, great request, to do russian language version of this site. As homage that thay were Russian Tsar daughters, they were russian princesses (tsarevnas).

I just saw your wallpapers and bookmarks... truly stunning Ally. It's rare when each  sister's beauty is so well matched  by such artistic treatment . Bravo!

Ally, thank you so much  for the Olga 1916 screen shot! I can't get into my AP account right now in order to thank you , so I'm writing here.

Yes I came back ...to read your histories of the three older grand duchesses, and you  did a wonderful job with each. You have  put in the great stories and quotes about them from all the books, but  much more than that, you have your own remarkable insights into their characters as well.

Your piece on Maria Nikolaevna was particularly moving to me because  I did not know how important  her role was during  the  early days of the revolution. I'm glad Lili Dehn  was  there for her at  the time and I'm glad Lili  was able to tell us of Maria's actions and words , because otherwise even more of Maria's  story would be lost to us.  And really one cannot imagine any of the other sisters  able to help their parents as well as Maria  did  during that terrible trip when the family was separated for a time later in Siberia. As Lili said,  Maria possessed a  tremendous reserve force.

I had never heard the ‘Citizeness Romanov, stop damaging the trees.’”  story before and I loved it!  You really created a fuller portrait of Mashka than one usually sees. Bravo! She deserves nothing less than our best, and that you gave her !

Okay I came back to your guestbook  because I just realized about 95% of the OTMA vids on YouTube that I love, are YOURS ! Awesome work ! I pray they

stay on the web  for years . Please let folks know if you decided to move them else where. Wonderful. Even my husband tears up at the end of The Big Pair.

It's like they just looked at one.

I have been interested in OTMA for 40 years... since the movie, " Nicholas and Alexandra " introduced me to their history.  Though his poem was written almost a 100 years before,  Keats could have been speaking of OTMA when he wrote

"A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:

Its loveliness increases; it will never

Pass into nothingness; but still will keep

A bower quiet for us, and a sleep

Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing."

Certainly that's been my experience over the years. One can go a long time without thinking on the girls, then see a book or a new to you photo , and  the intense interest and their  loveliness  wakes  yet again  and indeed, increased.

chris says...

I am interested at Imperial Family of Russia..

could u give us more information about Maria and Anastasia as soon as possible? I'll wait for it..

Dear chris,

Currently I´m working on Maria´s biography, but it is a hard work putting all the little pieces together, especially when I´m busy elsewhere. Still I hope to finish it within a month, as for Anastasia, I don´t know yet. I´m also preparing the gallery, whichi I´d like to upload as soon as possible. Hopefully you´ll stay tuned.
